Contract Discharge Printing

Are you a fan of screen printing, but you wish there was a way to get a softer hand to your prints?  Well, luckily for you, there is such a way to get those ‘barely there’ graphics onto your custom garments!  You can jump into contract discharge printing and feel the difference immediately.  Contract discharge printing uses water based inks instead of the typical plastisol inks, which leaves a different, softer feeling on the garment that many people love.

Before I get too far ahead of myself, let me explain how the inks work differently.  With plastisol inks, there is virtually no solvent and adequate heat is required to cure and set the ink.  Water based inks contain solvents, often times including water, which must be evaporated to set the print.  Since water based inks are susceptible to drying out, they cannot be reused like plastisol inks and are more expensive.  The benefit, however, is that the dye can penetrate deeper into the fabric and deposit the color while producing that softer touch that is so desirable.  Plastisol inks only remain on the surface and become rigid after curing.

Contract discharge printing is just an extension of water based ink screen printing where a discharge agent has been added to the ink.  Discharge printing works by removing the preexisting color from the garment via the discharge agent.  If you tint the ink containing the discharge agent, you can simultaneously take out the old color and input your own new color!  So, in the battle of plastisol inks versus water based and discharge inks, there is not clear winner.  It all depends on your customization needs and aspirations.  If you work with us at AMBRO Manufacturing, you won’t have to choose because we can offer you both!  You can contact us to place and order, or to find out more about our company, by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.

If you are looking for top quality customized apparel or accessories, it is imperative to find the right contract printer for you.  Customized items are very popular because in our global society, it’s easy to get lost in sameness.  That which is unique or quirky tends to stand out above the standard.  If you are a custom clothing designer, having a reliable and professional contract printer can make all the difference.  Having the right contract printer for any school sports or clubs spirit wear will help take the weight off your shoulders.  If you are looking for the right contract printer for you, then AMBRO Manufacturing can be just the company you want.

Contract Printer

Here at AMBRO Manufacturing, we’ve been a reliable contract printer for over 26 years.  With expertise in screen printing, embroidery, and sublimation, we can transform your next custom clothing project.  We offer a large variety of ink colors and printing sizes.  We can even do puffed or glitter inks.  Other contract printers cannot measure up when it comes to jumbo printing.  We have specially made large screens to handle oversized printing.  So if you’re looking for a massive print sprawling down a pant leg or across a blanket, we’ve got you covered.  Along with traditional screen printing, we also offer dye sublimation printing.  With sublimation printing, you can take very complex images with a vast color palette and have them infused into the garment.  With screen printing, the image is printed onto the surface of the fabric with inks whereas with sublimation, the image is printed onto a special paper with formulated dyes and then transferred onto the garment with heat and pressure.

This is just a tip of the iceberg when it comes to how we can assist you at AMBRO Manufacturing as your contract printer.  Our team is ready to guide you through our services until you reach your custom printing destination.  You can contact us to place an order, or if you have questions, by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.
