If you know a little bit about screen printing, you might know that a lot of it is done with plastisol inks because they are more convenient to use.  Plastisol inks don’t dry up when left exposed to the air so you can reclaim excess ink after a job and reuse it another time.  The drawback is that to cure the print you need to put it through a dryer and that stiffens the ink and that’s not appealing for every print application.  Bandanas are pretty light to start with so you don’t want to make them feel like a bulletproof shield by adding a plastisol print, especially if you’re aiming for all over coverage!

If you’ve been doing custom screen printing for a while, it can get a little monotonous.  There are ways to spice up your designs by thinking outside the box.  Let’s take custom foil printing for example.  Custom foil printing isn’t too much different than typical screen printing, so you won’t need to learn anything new to be able to add a touch of shine to your designs.  The main difference is that instead of printing an ink color, a clear adhesive ink is used instead.  You can then heat press a custom foil sheet to the adhesive so that when you peel it away, only your artwork is left foiled!
